Comfort is safety! It's fond memories. It energizes me and helps feed into my grateful emotions and I love nothing more than QUIET and me alone with my thoughts. You had me at coffee and that's me every morning. On the flip side when it's late at night and Kirk is sacked out with the dogs in bed or traveling for work, I'm found with my glass of wine and calm thoughts surfing the internet, reading or re-watching fav shows from the past that bring me joy: Friends, Frasier, Coach - and I'm a GenX gal but the 90s were my growing up years as a young adult.
Music, YES and I'm also a HUGE Barry Manilow fan! :) Saw him here in CMH years ago and his music is epic! I love my Spotify playlists with songs that remind me of others I love and memories I love to revisit.
Finally, there's nothing better than running the house alone with Kirk is on the road and I have Cheddar and Colby knowing something is 'off' with him gone. They comfort me. They follow me from room to room. They watch TV with me and sleep in our bed making sure I feel safe. ;)
